This mini-workshop is based on the new ASA 102 class: Boat Handling and Sail Trim Made Easy. We'll explore the fundamentals of flow and lift, the sources of sail power, and how to optimize mainsail and jib trim for different conditions. The workshop will cover both upwind and downwind sailing, including mainsail, jib, and spinnaker trim. Participants learn how to understand the forces behind sailing, interpret visual cues like 'telltales", and use various sail controls to achieve optimal sail shape and boat speed.
