Our Story
Since our founding in 2009, CSC has evolved into a thriving volunteer community for people of all ages and sailing ability with a passion for the sport. We provide the opportunity for members to participate in sailing activities year-round, including racing, cruising, social events, and
sailing education.
Our clubhouse overlooks Turner Creek and offers a beautiful, quiet riverside location for club events and for members to gather and use under terms set forth by the CSC board.
Located at Young’s Marina, members receive a discounted rate for boat slips, as well.

We're a non-profit community
Chatham Sailing Club is a 100% volunteer-based organization. All membership dues go to the operational and promotional expenses determined by the board. We are here for the love of the sport and encourage all members to join in volunteer efforts to maintain the club and its activities and properties.

Our clubhouse
The main clubhouse is located on Turner’s Creek at Young’s Marina, Wilmington Island, GA. The marina provides easy access to the Wilmington River and the coastal waters of Georgia. Come meet and greet on Friday evenings for Summer Sundowners and Winter Fire Fridays. Join us on facebook for details.

Partnerships
The Chatham Sailing Club is a member of US Sailing and The South Atlantic Yacht Racing Association. We welcome sailors and sailing racers from Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina. We sponsor races, clinics, regattas, provide certified race officials, offer training other sailing activities.

Our Mission
Our mission is to be a family-oriented club for racing, training new sailors, hosting cruises and supporting on-the-water events year round from our own permanently established facility.

New members are welcome. Anyone interested in sailing, regardless of experience or boat ownership, is encouraged to join us. Those of us with boats always welcome new crew and guests.
We welcome all sailors of Coastal Georgia, South Carolina and beyond!
