2023 Low Country Hook Ocean Race

The 8th Annual Low Country Hook Ocean Race is a distance race from Hilton Head Island, SC to Skidaway Island, GA.

The race is open to all non-planing monohull sailboats having an overall length of at least 22 feet and not longer than 52 feet.

The race is presented by Chatham Sailing Club

and The Yacht Club of Hilton Head Island. Early registration is $125 per boat. Fee includes one commemorative shirt and two dinner tickets for the closing ceremony at Landings Harbor Marina.

Registration is non-refundable after August 19, 2023.

This year's Low Country Ocean Hook Race is being sponsored by

the Chatham Sailing Club (CSC) and the South Carolina Yacht Club (SYYC)

SCHEDULE

Friday, August 25

Boats and crews make their way to Race Start at Hilton Head Island (location TBD)

Competitors meeting 6.00pm Friday night at the Race Marina. Location to be indicated in the Sailing Instructions. Dinner on your own.

Saturday, August 26

9:55am: Warning signal for the start of the 7th Low Country Hook Race

3-5pm: Dockside Bar Party at Landings Harbor Marina to welcome race competitors at finish line.

7:00pm: Time limit expires for the Race. Race Results and Awards published via email. Awards presented to those still at the Landing's.

5:30-7:30pm: Closing ceremony and dinner at The Landings Harbor Marina.
